Unilever Plc (LON:ULVR) will cut a familiar story on Thursday as the dollar earning consumer brands firm releases third quarter results.
The parent of Hellmann’s, Dove and Domestos makes just 10% of its sales in the UK and as such has been a notable Brexit winner.
Nonetheless, the market does not have high expectations for the group’s performance in its own right.
UBS analyst Nik Oliver, in a preview note, said it is likely to see slowing sales trends, particularly for European food and health and personal care products. “We expect Q3 to be a tough quarter,” he added.
Elsewhere, Kepler analyst Richard Withagen highlights that company-compiled consensus sees sales growth of 2.95%, though he has a 2.5% growth.
“For full-year 2016, we forecast underlying sales growth of 3.7% compared to consensus of 4.0%,” Withagen added.
“We expect the core operating margin to increase by 50bps to 15.3%, while consensus is at 15.2%.”
