Cello Group plc (LON:CLL), the healthcare and marketing group, has appointed Chris Jones as a non-executive director as it seeks to expand its footprint in the USA
He will take up the role on October 17.
The Cambridge graduate has spent 24 years in the advertising industry and was the global chairman and chief executive at J Walter Thompson Co - part of the giant advertising WPP group plc (LON:WPP).
He returned to England in 2002 and has held senior positions at companies in the healthcare, financial services, not-for-profit and technology industries, including board positions at Becton Dickinson and Co, Xenogen, Richmond Group, and Commarco.
Cello chief executive Mark Scott told investors: "He brings with him first-hand experience of growing global professional service businesses, as well as a deep knowledge of the healthcare sector in the US. His participation will be very helpful as we seek to expand Cello's footprint in the US as part of a more ambitious growth path."
