Proactive news round-up: DP Poland, StratMin Global, Falcon Oil...

A round-up of small-cap stories on the Proactive newswire today

DP Poland Plc (LO:DPP), the AIM-listed Dominos Pizza master franchise holder, said it is raising £3.2mln to accelerate its store opening programme.

It is placing shares a 48p, a very modest discount to last night’s close of 48.5p, which suggests there is appetite for the new stock.

It currently has £5.3mln in the bank, which is enough to bankroll its current ambitions in Poland.

StratMin Global Resources PLC (LON:STGR) has made its first contribution to the funding of its Madagascar graphite joint venture Vatomaina.

It has put up US$50,000 for 1.48% of the enlarged issued share capital of TRM, the joint venture company, with a further investment expected to be made in around a month.

Gold production at Caledonia Mining Corporation PLC’s (LON:CMCL) Blanket mine jumped by almost a quarter in the three months to September.

The 13,430 ounces of gold represented a 23% year-on-year increase and a 7% rise quarter-on-quarter.

Premier African Minerals Limited (LON:PREM) has estimated it has at least three years of profitable production at its RHA tungsten mine in Zimbabwe.

A review of the material available at the site indicated that using X-ray sorting equipment there is sufficient tonnage immediately available both in the open pit and underground operations to support production of 39,000 tonnes per month over that timeframe.

Bushveld Minerals Limited (LON:BMN) has plenty to look forward to in its vanadium-based energy storage venture, which is supported by the South African government.

Alongside South Africa’s Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), the 84% owned Bushveld Energy subsidiary has closed tenders for important market studies of Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFB).

It is now concluding the award of a techno-economic study.

Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd (LON:FOG, CVE:FO) has announced that Anne Flynn, the present financial controller, has been named as the group’s new chief financial officer.

Flynn will take over from Michael Gallagher, who has resigned with immediate effect to pursue other interests.
