A weaker fourth quarter and decision to drop wood flooring took the gloss of Topps Tiles’ (LON:TPT) annual sales.
Like-for-like sales at the tiles retailer grew by 1.4% in the quarter to end September compared to 4.2% for the year overall.
The strategic move in wood flooring also reduced sales in the final three months by 1.5%.
Profits for the year should still be within the current range of £22mln to £22.7mln, with a consensus of £22.3 mln.
Broker Liberum said it had already downgraded its number due to the Brexit vote, currency pressures and concerns over slowing consumer demand.
The broker has a 130p target price and today the shares eased 6% to 104.5p.
