Orders for cyber-security specialist’s Corero Network Security PLC’s (LON:CNS) SmartWall Threat Defense System (TDS) continue to roll in.
Less than a fortnight after announcing an order from a “top 10” US cable operator, the Aim-listed firm unveiled three orders for the system from leading European companies in the online gaming and gambling market.
In total, the orders are worth more than US$600,000, and were secured after successful proof of concept trials and competitive procurement processes.
The system is effective in combating what is called a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack, where external agencies attempt to bring down a company’s network and web site by overwhelming it with requests for information,
"These multiple customer wins add to Corero's credentials as a leading provider of DDoS protection to the rapidly growing online gaming and gambling market," said Ashley Stephenson, chief executive officer of Corero.
"SmartWall TDS is beating the competition with breakthrough capabilities in automatic, in-line, real time DDoS protection. We look forward to announcing continuing deal momentum in the coming months as the SmartWall TDS customer base grows across our target markets," he added.
