Sphere Medical Holding PLC (AIM: SPHR.L) has passed a very important landmark on its way to commercialising its Proxima 4 blood monitor.

It has received the all-important CE mark registration, which allows the company to legally sell the product in the EU.

In other news, Highlands Natural Resources Plc (LON:HNR) has extended its technology licensing arrangement with Schlumberger.

The oil field services giant will now continue to trial and evaluate the DT Ultravert system until September 16 2017.

Meanwhile, NetScientific PLC (LON:NSCI) said ProAxsis, its medical diagnostics company, has successfully registered a CE Mark for its novel ProteaseTag Active Neutrophil Elastase Immunoassay.

The healthcare intellectual property commercialisation group said the breakthrough will enable its Northern Ireland-based portfolio company to proceed to the commercialisation stage of its biochemical test in the European Union.

Over at PCG Entertainment Plc (LON:PCGE) it enjoyed a strong first half of the year and had it not been for a customer dispute, would have swung to a profit.

Interim revenues at the Asia-focused online gaming group rose to US$8.6mln (US$745,000), all of came from its Centre Point Development Corporation (CPDC) business acquired last summer.

Elsewhere, Seeing Machines Limited (LON:SEE) has appointed two key distributors as it rolls out its fleet management technology to the Asia Pacific.

The group has appointed publicly traded Thai transport company, Kiattana Transport as its distributor in Thailand; and a leading safety and risk assessment specialist, AutoSense as its distributor in New Zealand.

The asset position of Metal Tiger PLC (LON:MTR) strengthened considerably during the first half of 2016, as the company continued to book gains on in a rising commodities and mining equities market.

The company’s net gain on investments in the half year to June 2016 amounted to £2.135 mln, as against £534,000 booked during the corresponding period a year ago.

Next, the decision to open a UK office last year has proved a smart one for video surveillance specialist SerVision PLC (LON:SEV).

The group revealed in its results for the first half of the year that around half of its revenues are derived from the UK, including a growing number of recurring revenue streams.

And finally, Burmese social network MySQUAR Limited (LON:MYSQ) is launching a mobile market-place app, Fastsell.

The app allows sellers to list products online and allows buyers to bid and negotiate prices, with the location of the seller visible to users.
