Wishbone Gold PLC (LON:WSBN), the has raised £600,000 through a placing with attached warrants.

Richard Poulden, chairman and chief executive said: "The shares are being placed with a strategic investor who has been a long term supporter of the company."

Recyclable plastics group Symphony Environmental Technologies plc (LON:SYM) moved into profit in its latest half year as the benefits of a cost-cutting programme started to show through.

Revenues in the six months to June dipped to £3.23mln (£3.42mln), but costs were reduced by £342,000 which enabled the group to post a profit of £19,000 (loss £181,000).

Plastics Capital Plc (LON: PLA) told investors that trading across the board was in line with market expectations for the year to date as it reaps the benefits from a recent acquisition.

The niche plastics manufacturer said trading during the half-year to March showed improvement compared to last year, which it attributed to organic sales growth in its industrial division and an initial contribution from the recently-acquired Synpac in the film division.

Lower exploration and administrative costs allowed Landore Resources Ltd. (LON:LND) to reduce its losses in the first six months of 2016.

The Guernsey-based firm posted a loss of £733,000, down from £1.2mln a year earlier – results which Landore said were “in line with expectations”.

Stobart Group Limited (LON:STOB) has hired Mark Adams as its new chief financial officer, effective from November 28.

Adams has previously held the CFO position at a number of high profile companies including Hastings Insurance Group, EasyJet Plc and most recently Pets at Home Group Plc.

Premier African Minerals (LON:PREM) is to speed up production at its RHA tungsten mine in Zimbabwe.

To improve RHA’s economics underground mining will rise to 16,000 tonnes per month in the first half of next year.
