Riser and fallers: UK Mail Group, Allergy Therapeutics, Easyhotel...

German courier giant Deutsche Post DHL Group has agreed to acquire UK Mail for more than £240mln

RISERS

UK Mail Group (LON:UKM), up 43% to 440p. Germany’s Deutsche Post DHL Group is to acquire UK Mail for £242.7mln, with each shareholder receiving 440p in cash per share.

Easyhotel PLC (LON:EZH), up 12% to 94.2p. Directors participated in a placing today which raised £38mln for the budget hotel company. The placing price was 100p, more than a 10% premium on this morning’s opening price.

Allergy Therapeutics plc (LON:AGY), up 9% to 19.4p. In a show of faith, finance director Nicolas Wykeman purchased 150,000 shares at market price.

FALLERS

ZincOx Resources plc (LON:ZOX), down 40% to 0.3p. Told investors its share will be suspended on 31 October unless it can find a new project, after it reduced its interest in its principal asset last year.

New Trend Lifestyle Group PLC (LON:NTLG), down 35% to 1.8p. Revenues and profits fell in the first half of 2016 and the company said it expects markets in Singapore, its main area of operation, to remain “challenging”.

Central Rand Gold Limited (LONCRND), down 10% to 1.15p. A broken-down mill meant in the first half meant gold production fell well short of last year’s numbers. As a result, losses also widened.

RISERS

Independent Resources plc (LON:IRG), up 49% to 0.1p. Has essentially paid off a US$2.5mln loan due to TransGlobe Petroleum for just US$200,000, with IRE agreeing to release TransGlobe from any potential warranty and indemnity claims.

Stratmin Global Resources PLC (LON:STGR), up 23% to 1.85p. The company yhas arranged a US$1.15mln non-recourse loan facility secured against its holding of 75mln Bass Metals shares.

Touchstar PLC (LON:TST), up 15% 10 78.8p. Swung to a profit in the first half, despite revenues falling slightly.

FALLERS

Mobilityone Limited (LON:MBO), down 21% to 3.9p. Posted a slight increase in revenues and profits, but said current problems in Malaysia – its main focus – may “present challenging business conditions” going forward.

Parallel Media Group plc (LON:PAA), down 23% to 12.3p. Investors were clearly expecting more from the firm’s half-year results after the company swung to a small profit of £57,000.

RapidCloud International PLC (LON:RCI), down 15% to 20p. Revenues slipped by £0.3mln to £7.5mln while overall profits also fell during the first six months of 2016.

Armadale Capital PLC (LON:ACP), up 38% to 2.6p. Told investors this morning that it is to form a joint venture with African Mining Services Pty Ltd to develop and operate the Mpokoto in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd (LON:CGH), up 13% to 6.37p. Raised £1.4mln yesterday to cover the costs of completing the bankable feasibility study for its Tulkubash heap leach gold project.

FALLERS

ZincOx Resources plc (LON:ZOX), down 31% to 0.34p. Told investors its share will be suspended on 31 October unless it can find a new project, after it reduced its interest in its principal asset last year.

Aquatic Foods Group PLC (LON:AFG), down 20% to 14p. Profit before tax more than halved in the first six months of the year due to what the firm called a “challenging economic environment”.

Nature Group Plc (LON:NGR), down 9% to 4.34p. Revenues for the six months to June slipped to £6.2mln, resulting in the company swinging to a loss of £0.42mln.
