Historic data points to high grade potential

Ironridge Resources Limited (LON:IRR) has kicked off a new drill programme at the May Queen gold prospect in Queensland, Australia.

It will initially be a ten-hole programme, comprising a total of 500 metres of drilling. The aim is to verify historic data which has indicated high grades (including 38.8 grams per tonne gold, 73.4 g/t and 145 g/t).

The programme will also test at additional depth and assess the prospect’s potential strike.

Vincent Mascolo, Ironridge chief executive, said: "Once historical intersections have been confirmed, we will accelerate the implementation of reconnaissance programmes to test the blind magnetic anomalies we have already identified.”

He added: “The company is pleased to be delivering progress across its portfolio. It is a testament to management's planning and determination that we are ready to drill such a potentially lucrative discovery, and in conjunction with our efforts to grow IronRidge's other assets.”
