Bushveld granted environmental approval for vanadium project

The environmental impact assessment is part of a mining permit application (MRA) process started by the company 18 months ago.

Bushveld Minerals Limited (LON:BMN) has been granted Integrated Environmental Authorisation (IEA) for its Mokopane vanadium project in South Afrcia.

The environmental impact assessment is part of a mining permit application (MRA) process started by the company 18 months ago.

The next step is approval of the company's mine works programme and social and labour plan.

Fortune Mojapelo, Bushveld’s chief executive, said the IEA was a crucial step in the approval process for a mining right application.

"The Mokopane vanadium project remains a key part in the company's vanadium strategy and offers meaningful synergies with the Vametco opportunity being pursued.
