Nickel development group Horizonte Minerals Plc (LON:HZM, TSE:HZM) said Simon Retter will become the new chief financial officer, a non-board role, with immediate effect.
He replaces the current company secretary and finance chief Jeffrey Karoly, who is stepping down to pursue new opportunities.
Accountant Retter has extensive experience in the public markets and mining sector, specifically, reverse takeovers, IPOs and secondary fundraising.
Yesterday, the dual listed firm revealed it had started social and environmental base line data collection on its recently acquired Glencore Araguaia project (GAP).
The GAP is the nickel project adjacent to Horizonte’s own Araguaia project in north central Brazil; together, the amalgamated projects will form one of the largest nickel saprolite assets in the world.
