Deltex Medical Group plc (LON:DEMG) has seen revenues from the US overtake its core National Health Service market for the first time.
Revenues in the half-year to June were flat at £2.7mln, but the mix switched in favour of the US where sales of its surgical blood flow probes jumped 39% to £0.8mln.
Sales in France and Korea were also strong though UK sales fell by more than a third to £0.8mln.
Deltex today announced the addition of four more US hospitals to its programme, taking the total number of accounts to 27, and chief executive Ewan Phillips expects growth in the US to continue to be strong.
August sales rose by 48% and the good performance in the US and other export markets will help Deltex return to growth, he said, despite the NHS’s woes.
Losses for the half year were £1.7mln (£2.15mln).
