Golden Arrow Resources completes Phase VI drilling at Chinchillas

Chinchillas South zone confirms silver mineralisation, along with Breccia Dome to the north, and provides future resource potential

Golden Arrow Resources Corp (CVE:GRG) said on Wednesday that drilling confirmed silver mineralisation in the Chinchillas South zone in Jujuy province, Argentina.

“The area is underlain by narrow high-grade structures found over a 440 metre by 120 metre area that are similar in style to those found at Pirquitas,” said Brian McEwen, vice president of exploration and development.

“This mineralization, along with Breccia Dome target to the north provides future resource potential."

Meanwhile, the company also said that, as planned, an area within the Chinchillas silver project that doesn’t host significant mineralisation near the surface will now be designated for surface-side mining infrastructure.

"Phase VI drilling has confirmed that the area planned for surface infrastructure is devoid of significant near-surface mineralization,” McEwen added.

Highlight drill results included grades between 23 and 367 grams per tonne silver as well as lead and zinc.

It marks the end to the Phase VI drilling programme which comprised 21 holes with a total of 5,236 metres of drilling.

The Chinchillas silver project in located in the Jujuy province, in Argentina, and it hosts an estimated 155mln ounces of silver equivalent resources.
