Transol Corporation to start drilling for gold-copper in the Northern Territory

Transol Corporation (ASX: TNC) is poised to start reverse circulation drilling at its flagship Southern Cross Bore gold-copper project in the Northern Territory after soil sampling confirmed a continuous gold anomaly.

The recently completed infill and extensional soil program at the Black Angus and Wagyu Prospects confirmed the presence of a very large, strong and continuous gold-in-soil anomaly at Black Angus that extends over a strike length of 950 metres and averaging up to 200 metres wide.

Transol’s upcoming drilling will provide a more definitive test of the broader Southern Cross Bore Project area, which has the potential to host a large-scale iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) mineralised system with multiple centres of mineralisation.

It will be followed by a program of diamond drilling at Johnnies Reward designed to extend the known mineralisation down-plunge and along strike, laying the foundations for a maiden JORC Mineral Resource.

The Southern Cross Bore Project is located within the Arunta mineral province where recent exploration targeting IOCG and SEDEX-style mineralisation has yielded exciting discoveries including results released recently by Kidman Resources (ASX: KDR) from its Home of Bullion Prospect.
