Transol Corporation (ASX: TNC) has intersected copper-gold mineralisation in all seven holes that reached target depth at the Johnnies Reward Prospect in its December 2012 drilling program.
Results included 22 metres at 1.23 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1.21% copper from 117 metres and 16 metres at 2.01g/t gold and 0.15% copper from 120 metres.
Four of the holes finished in gold mineralisation within the footwall garnet gneiss unit, one of which finished in 12g/t gold at 157 metres downhole.
The drilling has confirmed a continuous zone of mineralisation over a strike length of 200 metres north of the Johnnies Reward gossan and extending from near surface down to 250 metres down-plunge.
It also indicates that mineralisation at Johnnies Reward may be more complex and widespread than previously thought, including zones of high grade copper.
Transol plans to carry out further exploration to better understand the broader potential of the mineralised system at Johnnies Reward and to develop a better understanding of the higher grade gold and copper zones.
It also seeks to test regional targets such as the newly discovered Black Angus anomaly, 1.5 kilometres to the north.
