Syrah Resources (ASX: SYR) is preparing to release an announcement to the market relating to interim drilling results from its wholly owned Balama Graphite Project in Mozambique, with the company granted a trading halt by the ASX today.
The company has committed to 15,000 metres of drilling at the project as it heads towards the delivery of a maiden Resource targeted for the March quarter of 2013, if not sooner.
Graphite mineralisation has been geologically mapped over a strike length in excess of 7 kilometres.
The halt will last until the earlier of an announcement being made available to the market, or the opening of trade on Wednesday 23 May.
