Strike Energy (ASX: STX) continues to progress its conventional and unconventional exploration and development programs in the U.S. and the Cooper Basin, Australia.

The company is poised to add a new conventional oil producer at it MB Clearfork Project in Texas with the MB Clearfork Unit-16 infill well cased and ready for completion.
The 7500 acre (30.35 square kilometre) MB Clearfork Project in the Permian Basin, which is operated by Houston-based Torch Energy Advisors, currently produce oil at a rate of about 100 barrels per day (bpd) from the Middle Clearfork Formation.
Strike is also waiting for the equipment to carry out fracture stimulation of its first Eagle Ford Shale Project production test well.
Success at the Bigham-1H well will de-risk Strike's assets in Lavaca and Fayette counties, Texas.
Sanchez Energy has estimated ultimate recovery of 350,000 to 550,000 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per well based on a 120 acre well spacing at its Marquis area, which is adjacent to Strike's acreage.
This equates to 285 unrisked well locations across Strike's 34,793 acre position with resource potential of 25 to 40 million boe net to the company’s 27.5% working interest.
In the Cooper Basin, Strike has in May intersected 116 metres of net coal, the thickest coal seams ever in the basin, with its Davenport-1 unconventional evaluation well.
It follows on the success of the Marsden 1 well and cores from both wells are currently undergoing laboratory analysis to confirm hydrocarbon content and other properties.
