St George Mining (ASX:SGQ) continues its high impact drilling program at the wholly-owned East Laverton Property in Western Australia.
The first hole at Windsor has been completed to 468 metres, with multiple thick sequences of ultramafics encountered, with disseminated nickel sulphides identified.
The drill hole has successfully intersected the large high MgO komatiite channel at Windsor with three thick ultramafic units encountered.
Assays are pending.

“The systematic testing of this large channel complex is ongoing, with about 4,000 metres of drilling to be completed and downhole EM surveys on all holes.

Windsor in detail
The Windsor nickel sulphide prospect features a large high MgO komatiite ultramafic that hosts high tenor disseminated nickel sulphides, which are open laterally and at depth and that may represent a halo to massive nickel sulphides.
The current drilling at Windsor is designed to test its basal contact for massive nickel sulphides and to further define the geometry of the high MgO komatiite channel complex.
Nickel at Windsor
A discovery of nickel sulphides at Windsor was made by BHP Billiton Nickel West in 2012, and outlines the prospectivity of the area.
Such as: 30 metres at 0.31% nickel from 108 metres, including 8 metres at 0.44% nickel and 2 metres at 0.62% nickel, and established the presence of a fertile komatiite ultramafic.
