St George Mining (ASX:SGQ) has three high quality drill targets for immediate testing at the Desert Dragon Central prospect, located within the wholly-owned East Laverton Nickel Sulphide Project in Western Australia.
These targets include the very strong ‘Dragon 9’ EM conductor.
The company said Dragon 9 has an exceptionally high time constant of 443 milliseconds and high conductance of 4900 Siemens indicating a very thick conductive body.
Drilling at Desert Dragon Central will commence this week, after the rig finishes at Desert Dragon North.
John Prineas, executive chairman, commented:
“Extensive mineralisation has already been encountered by drilling at Desert Dragon Central, so we know this is a very favourable area for further exploration.
“We are now testing targets that may represent higher grade deposits of this mineralisation.
“These are very robust targets supported by geophysical, geological and structural data including the positive results from recent drilling at Desert Dragon Central.”

St George Mining will this week start drilling Desert Dragon Central, which has the company's highest rated targets to be tested.
Desert Dragon Central's VMS potential was previously highlighted through the results of the 2012 reconnaissance drilling completed by BHP Billiton Nickel West as part of the previous Project Dragon farm-in arrangement.
Assays will be reported in the coming weeks with potential for significant intersections of mineralisation to be prioritised for faster processing.
