St George Mining (ASX: SGQ) will recommence a moving loop electromagnetic survey this week along the Stella Range Belt at its East Laverton nickel property in Western Australia.
Nickel sulphide was first discovered at Stella Range during the initial phase of reconnaissance drilling in 2012 .
Prior to the Christmas recess, 643 readings had been completed under the survey over a total 61,000 line-metres of coverage.
A number of strong anomalies were identified, with initial analysis suggesting they are consistent with bedrock conductors conducive to massive sulphide nickel mineralisation.
St George anticipates that ongoing interpretation and modelling of this data will generate a number of high priority drill targets.
The company is aiming to commence drilling as soon as practicable this quarter.
