St George Mining (ASX: SGQ) has now commenced a moving loop electro‐magnetic (MLEM) survey over high priority nickel targets in Western Australia.
These targets are located along the Stella Range Ultramafic Belt at the company’s wholly-owned East Laverton Property, which is hosted in the North Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia.
At Cambridge, the survey is designed to assess prospective zones of the Cambridge dunite body that were not included in the scope of the initial FLEM (fixed loop electro-magnetic) survey that commenced earlier in the week.
The MLEM survey will also investigate a priority area of the Stella Range Ultramafic Belt that was shown to host primary nickel sulphides by drilling completed in 2012.
Disseminated nickel sulphides were intersected including:
- DRAC35: 18 metres at 0.4% nickel, including 4 metres at 0.57% nickel and 2 metres at 0.51% nickel; and
- DRAC38: 6 metres at 0.48% nickel, including 2 metres at 0.62% nickel.
These two drill holes are around 7 kilometres apart.
