Silver Mines (ASX: SVL) continues to release a string of high grade silver hits from the Webbs Silver Project, after kicking off an extensive reverse circulation drilling program at the project in June.
So far 8000 metres has been drilled covering 110 holes, with high grades of near surface, silver rich polymetallic mineralisation identified.
The program is designed to increase tonnage and upgrade the JORC classification of the existing high grade silver resource, as well as increase the size of the resource by drilling previously untested parts of the mineralised system.
The latest highlights include:
- 4 metres at 309 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, 0.02% copper, 0.9% lead and 1.1% zinc from 56 metres;
- 2 metres at 425g/t silver, 0.7% copper, 2.1% lead and 1.4% zinc from 10 metres; and
- 1 metre at 705g/t silver, 2.6% copper, 7,7% lead and 11.0% zinc from surface.
Adding some tonnage, there was also the broader intersection of 15 metres at 258g/t silver, 0.01% copper, 0.4% lead and 2.9% zinc from 39 metres.
Importantly - the results support extensions to the current Webbs resource and should confirm and upgrade the JORC Resource of 1.23 million tonnes at 256g/t silver (8.2 ounces per tonne silver) for 10.19 million ounces of silver.
