Saracen Mineral Holdings intercepts gold at Western Australia deposits

Saracen Mineral Holdings (ASX: SAR) has returned high grade gold intercepts from drilling at the Red October and Karari deposits in Western Australia.

At Red October, drilling highlights include 0.9 metres at 95.8 grams per tonne gold, 1.1 metres at 47.5g/t gold and 1.6 metres at 33.3g/t gold.

Drilling at Karari intersected 20 metres at 3.5g/t gold including 4 metres at 7.9g/t gold, 19 metres at 5.11g/t gold including 11 metres at 7.7g/t gold and 21 metres at 3.23g/t gold including 7 metres at 5.2g/t gold.

A Sub-Audio Magnetic survey was also completed over the Red October mine area during the December quarter.

This highlighted a parallel shear zone in the hangingwall proximal to the mine and several northeast trending shear zones to the north of the mine.

These identified targets will be subject to future drill testing.
