The Sydney Morning Herald reported today that Woodside may consider a A$15 billion bid for Santos in an effort to gain access to Queensland state’s gas export industry.
An oil analyst spoken to today under anonymity thought it "unlikely" given Woodside's stated objectives, and aversion to "big ticket" LNG export projects. However the analyst said it could not be discounted the possibility.
