Rimfire Pacific Mining (ASX:RIM) should firm in trade after additional high grade gold rock chip results have been received from the emerging Carlisle Prospect at Fifield in New South Wales.
Best assays included 23g/t, 13.75g/t, 12.55g/t and 9.6g/t gold with up to 0.16% copper.
Rock chip sampling at the Glen Iris prospect gave further strong grades of gold with up to 1% cobalt, and encouraging gold and base metal results were also received in the Platina-Gillenbine area, were previous work has identified a substantial Platinum anomaly.
Interpretation and 3D inversion modelling of the company’s airborne magnetic and radiometric survey provides additional targets in the Carlisle area, with a compelling structural model for the high grade gold outcrops.
Strategy continues to focus on developing a quality prospect portfolio complementing the Sorpresa gold and silver project area by pursuing prospects within a 6 kilometre radius of Sorpresa.
The new results complement last month's rock chip samples of 13.7g/t gold, 7.29g/t gold, 7.02g/t gold and 6.22g/t gold from Carlisle.
A soil sampling grid is now underway, looking to further define the scale of the Carlisle prospect.
