Rimfire Pacific Mining (ASX:RIM) has intersected more near-surface gold and silver with the fifth hole of its first ever diamond drilling campaign at the Sopressa project in Fififield, New South Wales.
Notably, it marks the fourth hole drilled to return significant gold and silver intercepts, with all holes intersecting the target “black silica” stratigraphy, greatly expanding the exploration target area.
The fifth hole intersected 9 metres at 3.41 grams per tonne gold from 14 metres including 2 metres at 12.7g/t gold, 8 metres at 17.9g/t silver and 10 metres at 0.5g/t gold from 30 metres.
The results confirm and expand the gold and silver mineralisation reported on July 17th, including the bonanza grade hit of 1 metre at 114 grams per tonne gold.
Construction of 3D models is advancing in preparation for rapid systematic exploration and step out drilling to commence in the next few weeks.
Mineralisation at Sopressa is expanding with more diamond drilling commencing shortly. The project's location close to developed infrastructure offers the potential for early monetisation.
