With the latest results hitting over 1% nickel in 16 of 23 holes, the Wowo Gap nickel cobalt project is providing some very encouraging results for Resource Mining Corporation (ASX: RMI).
The nickel hits are near surface, with some highlights including:
- 5.5 metres at 1.60% nickel and 0.20% cobalt from 2.4 metres;
- 1.6 metres at 1.56% nickel and 0.14% cobalt from 1.6 metres; and
- 2.3 metres at 1.45% nickel and 0.07% cobalt from surface.
Drilling is designed to cover a 10 kilometre strike length.
The Wowo Gap project is located in Papua New Guinea, about 200 kilometres east of Port Moresby.
Ravensgate provided a resource estimate for Wowo of; 39 million tonnes at 1.00% nickel and 0.06% cobalt Indicated, and 50 million tonnes at 1.01% nickel and 0.06% cobalt inferred.
