Resource and Investment (ASX:RNI) has made high grade copper-gold discovery, including copper results of up to 8.65%, at its Forrest Gimp prospect within the Grosvenor project in Western Australia.
Key copper results include 5 metres at 1.70% copper from 140 metres, including 1 meter at 8.65% from 143 metre; 11 metre at 1.04% from 81 metre, including 1 metre at 5.11% Cu from 88 metres and 1 metre at 2.44% Cu from 85 metre; and 1 metre at 1.09% copper from 88 metres, among others.
The latest results come close on the heels of historical gold results from rotary air blast and reverse circulation drilling that included 22.3 metres at 2.1 g/t gold from 53 metre; 18.8 metres at 2.4 g/t gold from 26 metres and 14 metres at 2.6 g/t gold from 17 metres.
The Forrest Gimp copper-gold deposit is located on the southern end of an identified regional copper corridor that extends for approximately 12 kilometre and the prospectivity of this has been demonstrated through drilling results at Callies base metals prospect and Big Billy copper-gold prospect.
The company will progress the assessment of this 12 kilometre trend for copper as a priority with next stage of evaluation at Forrest Gimp to include drilling, down-hole electromagnetic surveys and surface geophysical surveys.
