Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS) is soon to commence infill and plunge extension reverse circulation drilling around newly interpreted lode positions at the Vivien gold project and Coogee gold mine, Western Australia.
The Company will complete a series drill holes designed to test for up-dip continuity and shallow plunging repetitions to the high grade mineralisation intersected during 2013.
Specifically, the drilling will scope for extensions to the hanging wall lode recently intersected at Vivien, and a potential plunge projection of the Main Lode, which recorded an an interval of 6.5 metres at 30.4 grams per tonne gold late last year.
Ramelius is acquiring the Vivien Project from Agnew Gold Mining Company, a subsidiary of Gold Fields Limited, for $10 million. It has already made the first payment of $5 million.
The Vivien gold project is a high grade vein style deposit, and carries a current Indicated Mineral Resource of 579,000 tonnes at 8.3 grams per tonne for 154,000 ounces of gold.
At Coogee, drilling will test a broad, circular magnetic anomaly for gold and copper mineralisation.
Drill assay results from the various programs will be reported as they are received.
