Ramelius Resources intersects up to 22.9g/t gold at Water Tank Hill prospect

Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS) has intersected up to 22.90 gram per tonne of gold at Water Tank Hill project at the Murchison Province of Western Australia.

Reverse circulation and diamond drilling at the prospect returned gold values including 9.20 metres at 13 grams per tonne from 250.50 metres, 19 metres at 6.53 grams per tonne gold from 194 metres and 24 metres at 13.62 grams per tonne of gold from 289 metres.

The holes were drilled below the Water Tank Hill pit located 4 kilometres south-southeast of the Ramelius' Checkers Mill at Mt. Magnet and a short distance from the existing St George underground mine decline.

Gold mineralisation at Water Tank Hill is associated with brecciated and sulphidic banded iron formation (BIF) sequences. The gold mineralisation occupies a series of subvertical, high grade plunging shoots within the BIF fold closure.

Gold mineralisation remains open to the northwest and drilling is scheduled to restart this month.
