Ram Resources (ASX:RMR) has begun planning a drilling program at its West Kimberley nickel-copper project in Western Australia after survey work identified three strong bedrock conductors.
These large and shallow electromagnetic (EM) conductors were found in a magnetic intensity zone known to host nickel mineralisation southeast of Buxton Resources’ (ASX”BUX) Double Magic nickel-copper project.
Last week, drilling at Double Magic confirmed mineralisation of more than 3% nickel in three separate targets.
In addition to the high-priority bedrock conductors found at West Kimberley, another five moderate to low-conductance EM conductors were identified raning in depth from 75 metres to 175 metres below surface.
The three high-priority conductors dominate the late time channel data (indicative of highly conductive bedrock sources).
The very high conductance levels indicated by modelling are consistent with the presence of well-developed sulphide mineralisation.
Ram will now turn its attention to planning drilling programs and further fieldwork for the 2016 field season.
