Oncosil Medical (ASX: OSL) shares are on a tear with the stock hitting an intra-day high of $0.07, a 67% jump from the closing price on the 3rd July 2013, with the company receiving a Price and Volume Query from the ASX this morning.
Oncosil is a clinical-stage Australian biotechnology company with the aim is to provide new technologies for safer medical radiation treatments.
The company said back to the ASX that it is not aware of any material information that has not been released which may explain the movement.
The company did however state: 'On the 2 July 2013 the Company announced the appointment of Dr Neil Frazer as CEO to drive the development the Company’s OncoSil project.'
Frazer has a background in drug development in multiple therapeutic areas which includes oncology drug development.
He has been responsible for successful U.S. Food and Drug Administration applications for ten new chemical entities and over twenty applications for the line extensions of pharmaceutical drug applications.
