Northern Uranium expands Browns Range Heavy Rare Earths exploration target

With the acquisition of 6,690km2 of exploration ground now complete, Northern Uranium (ASX: NTU) has expanded the Browns Range Heavy Rare Earths exploration target.

The bonus for Northern Uranium is the ability to explore for all minerals, and not just uranium, on the extensive tenement package (except for E70/2719 & E70/2720 where iron ore is excluded).

The company said its primary focus will be on the uranium and REE potential, with the tenement package also including potential gold targets in the Tanami (Rabbit Flats project), which is a historical tungsten mine at the Kurundi Project, and a Platinum-Palladium (PGE) resource at the Yarawindah project.

Some of the newly acquired land holding is adjacent to the company's Browns Range Heavy Rare Earths project, where high grade heavy rare earth elements (HREE) have been identified.

Northern Uranium paid $575,000 for the tenement package, which was subject to due diligence and applicable third party consents.
