Mithril Resources to kick off 3,000 metre copper drilling program in the Northern Territory

Mithril Resources (ASX: MTH) has finalised details of its upcoming 3,000 metre reverse circulation drilling program testing five outcropping copper targets within the East Arunta Project Area, Northern Territory.

The targets - Mini Me West, El Gordo, Ivana, Harry Creek, Red Rock Bore, and the buried geophysical anomaly Coles Hill North - have been prioritised for drill testing following systematic geological, geochemical and geophysical workup over the past 6 to 12 months.

Drilling, which seeks to discover economic high-grade copper mineralisation, will begin during the first week of September.

Mini Me West, Ivana and Coles Hill North have never been drilled with the only shallow drilling undertaken on the remaining targets.

Mini Me West, El Gordo and Ivana are subject to a joint venture between Mithril (80%) and Cazaly Resources (ASX: CAZ) with both companies funding drilling on a pro-rata basis.

The East Arunta Project Area is highly prospective for the discovery of economic base metal mineralisation within both the Iron Oxide Copper Gold and Volcanic Massive Sulphide.

It incorporates the 5,100 square kilometre Huckitta Project and Mithril’s wholly-owned Yambah Project, which covers 1,100 square kilometres.
