Mithril Resources (ASX: MTH) plans to make an announcement pending the assessment of drilling results, with the company entering a trading halt today.
The company has previously completed a 1,200 metre reverse circulation drilling program to initially test the Spargos Reward Gold Mine’s extensional potential.
Mithril said in its recently released December quarterly, results from the Western Australian project were expected by late January.
Spargos Reward lies within the richly endowed Eastern Goldfields, and is highly prospective for the discovery of economic gold mineralisation.
The high grade Spargos Reward Gold Mine historically produced around 29,257 ounces at 8 grams per tonne gold to a vertical depth of 120 metres.
The halt will last until the earlier of an announcement being made to the market, or the opening of trade on Monday 21 January.
