Maximus Resources (ASX:MXR) is in a trading halt pending gravity survey results at its Peeweena Dam tenement at its Billa Kalina copper gold uranium project in South Australia.
The halt is in place until 6 February 2012.
The 100% owned Billa Kalina project area comprises three exploration licences covering about 2,206 square kilometres of high prospective ground about 70 kilometres northwest of the Olympic Dam mine and also 45 kilometres east of Prominent Hill.
It is situated within the larger Woomera Prohibited Area and the company received a New Access Deed for the Millers Creek Tenement hosting the Peeweena Dam in December.
Maxiumus Resources has a joint venture with ERO Mining to explore in this area.
ERO Mining is undertaking the ground gravity survey over the Peeweena Dam, having contracted Atlas Geophysics for the project.
The survey is designed to validate a significant 10mgal gravity anomaly at Peeweena Dam, first identified by a wide spaced 7 kilometres by 7 kilometres region survey completed in the 1970s.
