Lynas Corporation (ASX: LYC) has been granted a trading halt this morning by the ASX and has been placed in pre-open.
Lynas said that it became aware, initially through statements made on the internet by the Save Malaysia Stop Lynas group, that there is a proposed in-chambers application to the Kuantan high court today regarding a further application for an interim stay in respect of the Temporary Operating Licence.
Lynas believes that this appears to be a repeat of the application that was dismissed on 8 November 2012.
Lynas requested the halt until the outcome of today's events at the Kuantan high court is known, at which time the company will release an update to the market.
The halt will last until the earlier of an announcement being made to the market, or the opening of trade on Friday 16th November.
