Lynas Corp (ASX:LYC) has won legal respite in its ongoing battle in developing its rare earths project in Malaysia with a court there quashing an application for injunction against the company's temporary operating licence.
An injunction had been filed by a group called Save Malaysia Stop Lynas in October.
The Kuantan High Court has also allowed the inclusion of Lynas as a party to an application for judicial review of a decision by Malaysian regulatory authorities to stand by the Atomic Energy Licensing Board's approval for a temporary operating licence.
A hearing on the judicial review is expected in a few months with no injunction on Lynas' activities at the Malaysian plant.
