Volta Mining to reveal Pilbara iron ore results in time

Volta Mining (ASX:VTM) will disclose details of recent drilling at its Hancock Ranges Iron Ore project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia when it exits a trading halt by Monday, 21 July 2014.

The drilling programme was focused on the Sirius Extension Prospect which has the potential to host high grade iron ore mineralisation.

Rock chip sampling had recently returned handy high grades from 56% to 60.3% iron, grades in keeping with the large Pilbara iron ore producers.

The drilling programme tested the trend of hematite mineralisation into the Sirius Extension Prospect, confirming the existence and continuity of mineralisation at depth, as well as determining grade.

The Sirius Extension Prospect (E47/2606) is adjacent to Brockman Mining’s (ASX:BCK) inferred resource of 124 million tonnes grading 60.3% iron (at its Sirius Deposit, E47/1599).

Promisingly, drilling by Brockman Mining at its Sirius Deposit has been conducted to within 30 metres of Volta’s Hancock Ranges Iron Ore Project’s east boundary.
