Lodestar Minerals expands exploration in Jenkin Thrust Belt after recent discoveries

Lodestar Minerals (ASX: LSR) holds an extensive footprint in the Jenkin Thrust Belt, which is host to Sandfire Resource’s (ASX: SFR) massive DeGrussa discovery, and today updated the market on the company's operations.

Lodestar has expanded the company's Doolgunna drilling program, and at the Neds Creek Block a planned rotary air blast drilling program has been expanded in view of the emerging significance of Sipa Resource’s (ASX: SRI) along strike Enigma copper anomaly and range of available geochemical targets.

The revised program includes 21,000 metres on 500 metre line spacing over target copper anomalies, and major north east trending structures.

Heritage clearance surveys are expected to commence next week, with drilling in October.

At the Marymia tenements, an initial four hole reverse circulation drilling program to test the “Transformer” VTEM (versatile time domain electromagnetic) anomalies is scheduled to commence mid-September.

Drilling will target potential sediment‐hosted base metal (Pb‐Zn‐Ag) mineralisation, and is targeted to provide an initial test of the T1 and T2 conductors (with a combined strike length of 1700 metres) to planned depths of up to 200 metres.

Heritage surveys and access work have already been completed.
