Venture Minerals (ASX: VMS) is one step closer to commencing production at the Livingstone Direct Shipping Ore Hematite Project, with the Minister for Energy and Resources granting the mining lease.
This is the first mining lease granted to Venture, which has been exploring in northwest Tasmania for a number of years.
Venture is moving into the development phase of both the Livingstone DSO project and the flagship Mt Lindsay Tin/Tungsten project in Tasmania.
In addition, the company is progressing activities and the Riley DSO project, which was discovered in late 2011.
Over the coming months, Venture will be focused on completing a BFS for the Mt Lindsay project, and finalising transport and off-take agreements for both the Livingstone and Riley DSO projects.
The company will also work to advance the approval process for the Livingstone project, which still requires environmental approval before production can commence.
