Legend Mining (ASX:LEG) has provided an update on its Rockford Project in the Fraser Range district of Western Australia.
The company said that poor weather conditions have temporarily stopped moving loop electromagnetic surveying (MLEM) with the geophysical crew currently offsite.
To date, MLEM surveys have been completed over the central block of Area A, all of Area B and two thirds of Area C, with no significant bedrock conductors warranting follow up work identified.
Legend said that MLEM surveying will recommence once the weather conditions improve, with surveying planned for a further 3-4 weeks prior to a Christmas break.
Mark Wilson, managing director, commented: “This is early days in the challenge of unlocking the potential of the Rockford project.”
Legend has also commenced a detailed 50 metre line spaced aeromagnetic survey covering 400 square kilometres in the southern portion of the project area.
Previous data in this region is at 300 metre line spacing and the added resolution will greatly assist targeting.
