LaserBond (ASX: LBL) has come on to the ASX radar after the company's shares soared 67% to $0.225 on Friday 11 November, up from $0.135 on the 17 October, on increased volume.
LaserBond therefore received a price and volume speeding ticket from the ASX. The company replied to the exchange saying that it is not aware of any material information that has not been released to the market that may explain the sudden investor interest.
LaserBond is in the business of extending machinery life with advanced surface engineering, including industrial components operating in severe environments.
During financial year 2011 the company boosted revenues by 27.4% to $13.3 million, with net profit jumping 159% to $1.34 million.
