Investigator Resources (ASX:IVR) has received strong initial results from its Paris Silver project on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.
Best results include 3 metres at 328g/t silver from 159 metres at Paris North, and 9 metres at 377g/t silver from 132 metres at Helen.
The first batch of assays show silver intersections in a step-out program around Paris and the first copper hits as well as high-grade silver 3.5 kilometres to the northeast at the Helen prospect.
These positive first assays upgrade the copper-gold potential and continue expansion of Paris silver field with five new holes in silver mineralisation.
First copper hits on blind extensions to the Helen target include 45 metres at 0.35% copper from 27 metres, including 9 metres at 1.14% copper and 0.31g/t gold.
These confirm the district’s copper potential and expanded prospectivity around initial soil targets.
The assays reported today are the first of a 13,000 metre scout drilling campaign on Investigator’s Peterlumbo tenements, 150 kilometres west of Whyalla, and 70 kilometres from the National Eyre Highway.
This location would make for a low cost mining operation.
Results add to the district’s potential to host epithermal precious metals and related porphyry or IOCG-style base metal deposits.
The company holds around $5 million in cash.
