Impact Minerals' (ASX:IPT) managing director Michael Jones will be presenting to investors at the "Stars in 2013 Series" in Sydney on Wednesday 3rd April, and discussing the company's recent acquisition.
Impact is moving to acquire the rights to nickel-copper-PGE joint ventures at Mulga Tank in Western Australia and Broken Hill in New South Wales.
This acquisition is part of the transaction with Impact’s 75% owned Invictus Gold (ASX: IVG) to acquire the projects and shares of Endeavour, which was announced earlier in the year.
The Broken Hill Ni-Cu-PGE Project, NSW (Impact earning 80%)
- A representative 120 kilogram sample of gossan which returned 19.6g/t platinum, 50g/t palladium, 3g/t rhodium, 3g/t osmium, 4.4g/t iridium, 2g/t ruthenium, 0.57g/t gold, 0.34% nickel and 0.71% copper.
- Drill intercepts in fresh sulphide at about 45 metres depth of: 4 metres at 17.9g/t Pt+Pd+Au, 2.3% nickel and 3.2% copper from 43 metres; and 2.1 metres at 8.3g/t Pt+Pd+Au, 3% nickel and 3.5% copper from 45 metres.
Mulga Tank Nickel-Gold Project, WA (Impact earning 50%)
-Significant potential for the discovery of a bulk tonnage nickel deposit in an ultramafic intrusion similar to the Mt Keith deposit, WA and the giant Dumont deposit in Quebec (>3 Bt at 0.27% nickel for 8 Mlb of nickel).
- Three widely spaced diamond drill holes within the 4.7 km by 3.2 km sized ultramafic returned best intercepts of: 264 metres at 0.2% nickel and 218 metres at 0.18% nickel;
