Genesis Minerals (ASX: GMD) is set to pounce on an exploration asset in Australia, with the Australian Stock Exchange granting the company a trading halt.
The company's shares are currently in pre-open.
Currently Genesis is focused on gold and copper deposits in Chile and the San Juan Province of Argentina, with the new deal potentially diversifying the company's exploration portfolio.
Genesis has been on the acquisition trail for some time, and has evaluated over 60 projects in the past six months.
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Monday 3rd March 2014, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
