Frontier Resources (ASX: FNT) is organising one of its five smaller diamond core drilling rigs for shipping to the Swit Kia gold prospect in Papua New Guinea.
Drilling will demonstrate the dimensions of the high grade gold mineralisation when logistically possible and subject to completing a modest capital raising.
The company is currently waiting on assays of channel samples to clarify the tenor of gold assays in 52 samples, due to possible interference from high associated levels of arsenic.
It had previously reported that its sampling had returned 27 metres at 66.8 grams per tonne gold in the Upper Horizon and 18 metres grading 40.3g/t gold in the Lower Horizon.
