Encounter Resources (ASX:ENR) has revealed first assay results from the recent diamond drilling at the BM2 prospect within its Yeneena project in Western Australia.
The company recently reported that drilling had intersected narrow zones of brecciated and laminated massive zinc sulphide mineralisation.
Chemical assays from this intersection have returned 0.7 metres at 36.5% zinc with 37 grams per tonne silver, including 0.3 metres at 62.9% zinc with 63 grams per tonne silver.
This confirms the high grade zinc-silver potential of the mineral system at BM2.
The massive sulphide mineralisation discovered at BM2 remains open in all directions, providing clear follow-up drill targets.
Whilst narrow, the intersections are significant because they may have intersected the edge of a large zinc system.
Notably, Zinc regolith anomalism along this target contact extends for over 2 kilometres.
The BM2 zinc prospect is the second significant mineral system discovered at Yeneena following the BM1-BM7 copper discovery where the Encounter completed an earn-in agreement with Antofagasta (LON:ANTO) earlier this year.
