Eastern Iron (ASX: EFE) will receive a contribution of up to $300,000 from the Victorian Government towards the $2.6 million Definitive Feasibility Study for its Nowa Nowa iron ore project in areas relating to its infrastructure requirements.
The company has defined a Resource of 9.6 million tonnes at 50% iron at the File Mile deposit and is studying the potential to mine the ore, process it on site and truck it to a proposed export facility at the Port of Eden.
Nowa Nowa is located 250 kilometres east of Melbourne close to the Princes Highway, which provides access to several nearby towns and to the export facility.
The Feasibility Study remains on track to be completed by the end of 2013.
