Dart Mining shares soar 61%, prompts ASX 'please explain'

Dart Mining (ASX: DTM) received an ASX price query speeding ticket after the company's shares traded 61% higher at $0.145 in intra-day trade today, up from $0.09 two business days earlier.

Dart said that it was not aware of any material information that has not been announced which may explain the sudden investor interest.

The company did however started back to the ASX:

'An article published today by The Australian newspaper which rated the company as a speculative buy.'

And.

'Channel 7 News aired a story on the town of Corryong in its nightly 6pm bulletin broadcast in Victoria on 8 September 2011, where the company was featured (although not mentioned by name).

It is worth noting this is the second speeding ticket for Dart this week.

No doubt what is driving investor interest is that the company forecasts to deliver a maiden molybdenum Inferred JORC Resource early in the December quarter of 2011.
